Dive in!
Every time we have had the pleasure to visit this beautiful island we have been WOWed! Here are some of our stories...
We rented a couple kayaks to take our snorkel gear over to Cooks Island. We swam with bright fish and sea turtles that were literally an arms length away. On our way back to land we were surrounded by a school of spinner dolphins. We stopped our kayaks and had a chance to see these dolphins spin, leap and play with each other only a couple feet away. After about seven minutes they continued on their journey as we did ours with a memory that we would keep with us forever.
I got scuba certified on my last visit to the island through Kohala Divers whom I highly recommend! The rest of my family was certified through them as well. On our last dive we got to hear a family of whales underwater. When we surfaced we saw that they were yards away from the dive boat.
Walking along A-bay enjoying the crisp morning air and ocean breeze we saw two sea turtles beached taking in the surroundings as well. Incredible Creatures!
At the Marriott Sunset Lu'au we were entertained by fire and hula dancers. We experienced the roasting of the pig and the exciting customs that come along with a cultural festivity such as this.
We took an excursion with North Kohala Zipline through the jungles of The Big Island. Spectacular scenery, unparalleled views, and exhilarating rides across 8 lines.
